This red wine blends the structure and power of Samsó (Carignan) with the juicy red fruit of Red Grenache and the spicy touch of Syrah. Aged for 8 months in French and American oak barrels, El Senat delivers a rich, complex, and authentically Mediterranean drinking experience.
Narrative Tasting Note
It presents a dark cherry-red hue with medium-high concentration and vibrant garnet rims. On the nose, it offers an evocative journey through Mediterranean hillsides: wild blackberries, dark blueberries, and stewed plums layer over aromatic herbs like thyme and rosemary. The oak aging contributes warm nuances of dark cocoa, cedarwood, black pepper, and licorice. The mouthfeel is broad, generous, and well-structured. Samsó brings solid, polished tannins that are beautifully rounded by Grenache's fleshy fruit and Syrah's spicy freshness. The finish is long, warm, and persistent, leaving lingering notes of dark fruit compote and subtle toast.
