Solpost Origen is the purest expression of history and terroir from Celler Sant Rafael in DO Montsant. Grown at Mas d'en Rafel estate in Pradell de la Teixeta, this wine takes its name from the sunset moment (*solpost*) when golden evening light bathes the vineyards. Its blend harmonizes the fruit richness and warmth of Red Grenache, the wild structure of Samsó (Carignan), and the elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon, all enhanced by careful oak barrel aging.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, it displays a deep dark cherry-red color with rich opacity and tile-red reflections highlighting its mature aging. The nose reveals a broad, seductive bouquet filled with ripe dark fruits—blackberries, plum preserves, and blueberries—seamlessly blended with pure dark cocoa, roasted coffee, black pepper spices, cigar box, and a distinct Mediterranean scrubland backdrop with thyme and limestone minerality. On the palate, it is majestic and mouth-coating; broad and fleshy with a velvety texture supported by polished tannins and vibrant natural acidity. The finish is extremely long, warm, and delightfully spiced.
