Pita Organic White Wine (Dominio de Verderrubí) represents one of the most authentic, pure, and elegant expressions of the Verdejo grape in DO Rueda. Crafted by family winery Viñedos Pita in La Seca (Valladolid) from single-estate Finca La Bonita, this 100% Organic Verdejo comes from high-altitude gravelly and sandy soils at 750 meters. Aged for over 4 months on fine lees, it delivers rich texture and depth while showcasing distinct mineral freshness.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, Pita presents a bright straw-yellow color enhanced by greenish and golden highlights. The nose reveals a refined and complex aromatic spectrum, combining wild fennel, elderflower, and herbal notes with juicy stone fruit like apricot and vine peach over a clean stony mineral backdrop. On the palate, it impresses with broad, structured, and velvety presence; lees contact adds a mouth-coating smoothness perfectly balanced by crisp natural acidity, leading to a long, persistent finish marked by Verdejo's signature noble bitterness.
