Perlat Syrah is one of the most expressive red wines crafted by Cellers Unió in DO Montsant. Made as a single-varietal Syrah from vineyards planted on limestone soils, this wine blends ripe dark fruit intensity with more than 10 months of aging in French and American oak barrels. The result is a smooth, velvety, and spice-infused Mediterranean red wine.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red hue with bright violet highlights. The nose gradually unfolds a seductive aromatic bouquet dominated by ripe black fruits like blackberries and blueberries, framed by notes of licorice, roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, and subtle sweet spices. On the palate, it is delightfully fresh, round, and inviting, offering a silky texture with well-integrated, polished tannins that lead into a long, velvety, and spice-infused finish.
