Perlat Negre is one of the benchmark red wines from Celler Unió in DO Montsant, showcasing the rich winemaking heritage of the region. This red wine is crafted from carefully selected vineyards where the lusciousness of Red Grenache meets the structural depth of Samsó (Carignan) and the spicy elegance of Syrah. Aged for several months in oak barrels, Perlat delivers a harmonious balance between ripe Mediterranean fruit and subtle oak nuances.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, it reveals an intense ruby-red color with bright garnet rims and good depth. The nose unveils an expressive bouquet of ripe red and dark fruits—such as cherries, blackberries, and plums—intertwined with hints of vanilla, black pepper, subtle toasted oak, and a Mediterranean herbal backdrop. On the palate, it enters smoothly and warmly, unfolding a silky, medium-to-full body with well-integrated oak and smooth, rounded tannins. The finish is long, rewarding, and filled with pleasant fruity and spicy notes.
