Raimat Abadia Red is one of the most historic, iconic, and revered red wines in DO Costers del Segre, produced by Raimat (15 Bodegas). Organically farmed, this blend seamlessly merges the elegant structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the juicy fruitiness of Tempranillo. Aged in oak barrels, it delivers a smooth, complex, and food-friendly Mediterranean red.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, Raimat Abadia displays an attractive cherry-red color with medium-to-deep intensity and garnet rim reflections. The nose reveals a complex and intoxicating bouquet of ripe blackberries, stewed plums, and red cherries from Tempranillo, beautifully layered with cassis, roasted pepper, black pepper, and herbal nuances from Cabernet Sauvignon. Oak aging contributes sophisticated notes of dark cocoa, vanilla, tobacco leaf, and subtle roasted coffee. On the palate, it enters smooth, fleshy, and velvety; its medium body is structured yet well-rounded, supported by polished tannins and crisp natural acidity.
