Petit Siós Red is one of the most celebrated and approachable red wines from Costers del Sió, located along the Sió riverbanks in DO Costers del Segre. Aged for 4 months in French oak barrels, this blend harmoniously merges the fruitiness of Tempranillo (Ull de Llebre), the juicy generosity of Red Grenache, and the refined structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. A balanced, flavorful, and vibrant Mediterranean red wine.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, Petit Siós displays an attractive ruby-red color with medium-to-deep intensity and youthful violet highlights. The nose opens with an expressive bouquet of fresh blackberries, ripe red cherries, and raspberries from Grenache and Tempranillo, nicely layered with cassis, roasted pepper, and herbal notes from Cabernet Sauvignon. Subtle French oak contact contributes delicate hints of vanilla, dark cocoa, and mild sweet spices. On the palate, it enters smooth, juicy, and mouthwatering; its light-to-medium body glides with polished, silky tannins and well-integrated fresh acidity. The finish is clean, broad, and satisfying, leaving long-lasting memories of wild berries and subtle roasted spices.
