DO ALICANTE

In 1510 Ferdinand the Catholic, King of Aragon, granted the city an exceptional privilege. The privilege of wine by which the "Foraster Wine Inhibition Junk of Alicante" was constituted. A document banning the entry of wines from outside the city term for trade or exit through the port.

The wine sector Alicante DOP, which is present today in some 10,000 hectares, some 2000 farmers and about 45 wineries, is responsible for counting and protecting this historical heritage and vineyard from its disappearance. Because without wine, everything would be empty history and the wine Alicante DOP continues today in every year and bottle of this unparalleled history.
