Martín Códax White Wine is the quintessential flagship of DO Rías Baixas and a cultural icon of Galician winemaking. Named after the famous 13th-century troubadour, this single-varietal 100% Albariño comes from carefully selected plots in Val do Salnés, grown on granitic soils bathed by Atlantic ocean breezes. Fermented in stainless steel tanks, it preserves pure varietal authenticity, yielding a vibrant, aromatic, and superbly balanced white wine.
In the glass, it shines with a pale lemon-yellow color featuring luminous green highlights. The nose unveils an expressive and seductive bouquet brimming with stone fruit aromas like peach and apricot, combined with crisp green apple, pink grapefruit, orange blossom, and fresh herbal nuances. On the palate, it feels smooth, rounded, and broad; a bright, integrated acidity drives a fleshy mid-palate toward a long, fruity finish with a delicate saline trailing note reminiscent of Galician coastlines.
Fresh vs. rich. The bright citrus profile cuts through creamy guacamole while highlighting natural seafood sweetness.
Exotic harmony. Floral notes and ripe fruit accents in the wine complement oriental spices and coconut richness.
Oceanic symbiosis. The wine's saline trait and palate weight enhance rich raw tuna without overwhelming its delicate flavor.
