Marieta White Wine is a fresh, fun, and groundbreaking creation by the renowned Martín Códax winery in DO Rías Baixas. It stands as the first-ever 100% semi-dry Albariño produced in Galicia, crafted by partially arresting fermentation to retain natural residual sweetness. Blending delicious fruitiness with Albariño’s signature vibrant acidity, Marieta is a light, easy-drinking, and versatile wine perfect for casual sipping or adventurous food pairings.

Tasting Note

In the glass, it presents a very pale lemon-yellow color, crystal clear and bright, with subtle greenish highlights highlighting its youth. On the nose, it releases an intense aromatic bouquet dominated by juicy stone fruits like peach and apricot, combined with crisp green apple, fresh lime, and white flower nuances. On the palate, it enters smooth, refreshing, and pleasantly sweet. The natural sweetness of the fruit is seamlessly balanced by crisp citrus acidity, creating a harmonious, round, and fruit-forward finish that invites another glass.

Groundbreaking Pairings

Thai Red Prawn Curry with coconut milk, lemongrass, and fresh basil

Spice and sweetness. The semi-dry profile cuts through curry heat, while crisp Albariño acidity lifts citrus herbs.

Gorgonzola Dolce Blue Cheese on walnut fig bread toast

Rich contrast. The wine’s juicy stone fruit notes tame the salty creaminess of blue cheese beautifully.

Mexican Tacos al Pastor with roasted pineapple and cilantro

Tropical harmony. Peach and citrus notes mirror the grilled pineapple, while acidity cleanses the palate.
