Mas Donis Negre is one of the most internationally acclaimed red wines from Celler de Capçanes in DO Montsant. Certified vegan, this red wine comes from terraced vineyards planted on clay-limestone and slate soils. Its blend masterfully combines the juicy fruitiness of Red Grenache, the velvety texture of Merlot, and the floral spice of Syrah. Crafted to highlight vibrant fruit purity without heavy oak masking, it offers an agile, fresh, and deeply satisfying red wine.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, it displays a bright dark cherry-red color of medium intensity with vibrant violet edges. The nose unleashes an open, inviting fruit bouquet filled with fresh raspberries, wild strawberries, and ripe cherries, complemented by violet florals, pink peppercorns, Mediterranean wild thyme, and a subtle hint of licorice. On the palate, it is pure dynamism and smoothness; entering juicily before unfolding an agile, velvety body backed by polished tannins and crisp natural acidity.
