Acústic Red is the liquid manifesto of winemaker Albert Jané and his acclaimed Acústic Celler in DO Montsant. Embracing an "acoustic" philosophy—free from modern industrial retouching and returning to raw, traditional roots—this red wine comes from 35 to 80-year-old vines of Red Grenache and Samsó (Carignan). Aged for 10 months in fine-grained French oak barrels, it delivers expressive fruit, fleshy texture, and remarkable Mediterranean freshness.
In the glass, it shows a deep, vibrant dark cherry-red color with garnet and violet reflections. The nose unleashes a pure, inviting bouquet filled with ripe red and dark berries—wild cherries, plums, and blackberries—intertwined with floral violets, Mediterranean wild thyme, rosemary, and subtle oak spices like black pepper, vanilla, and graphite. On the palate, it is broad, fleshy, and beautifully rounded; entering warmly before revealing a silky, mouth-coating texture supported by ripe tannins and a vibrant natural acidity. The finish is long, persistent, and deeply expressive of its terroir.
Savory terroir match. Polished Carignan tannins and spicy French oak notes match roasted goat meat and rich cocoa flavors effortlessly.
Earthy synergy. Juicy Grenache fruit cuts through rich rice textures while enhancing wild mushroom aromas.
Balanced contrast. Crisp wine acidity cuts through rich sheep's milk cheese, leaving a fragrant fruit-and-spice finish.
