El Perro Verde White Wine is undoubtedly one of the modern icons of DO Rueda. Born from the joint passion of Ángel Lorenzo Cachazo and Javier Zaccagnini (under Vila Viniteca's Uvas Felices project), this 100% Verdejo single-varietal comes from selected plots in Pozaldez, Ventosa de la Cuesta, and La Seca. Cold-fermented in stainless steel, it is a fun, vibrant, and incredibly aromatic white wine packed with fresh fruit.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, it shines with a bright pale straw-yellow color framed by youthful greenish glints. The nose immediately reveals an explosive, highly expressive bouquet where passion fruit, pineapple, and watermelon scents blend seamlessly with crisp green apple, lime zest, and signature notes of fennel and fresh-cut grass. On the palate, it enters with crisp, agile energy; its mid-palate is fluid and fruit-forward, expertly balanced by lively acidity that leads into a long, clean finish with Verdejo's classic, pleasant bitter finish.
