Petit Bernat Red is the most dynamic, fresh, and accessible expression from the prestigious Heretat Oller del Mas winery. Crafted under strict certified organic farming standards in Manresa, this red blend harmoniously combines indigenous recovered grapes of the DO Pla de Bages region, such as Picapoll Negre and Mandó, with international varieties like Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. Aged for a brief but precise 3-month period in French oak barrels, this wine is designed to convey the raw purity of its Mediterranean-continental terroir with a vibrant, uninhibited, and lively energy.
Descriptive Tasting Note
In the glass, it displays an intense cherry red color with bright violet highlights that showcase its young and vibrant character. Upon swirling, it proves immediately expressive and captivating, unfolding a wide aromatic bouquet where fresh red and black fruits, such as cherries and wild blackberries, seamlessly interweave with delicate balsamic notes, forest herbs, and a subtle background of sweet spices from the oak. On the palate, it stands out with a sweet and fluid entry, opening up to a beautifully balanced mid-palate.
