Justino's Madeira Fine Rich is one of the warmest, most harmonious, and iconic expressions of fortified wines from the island of Madeira (DOP Madeira), crafted by the famed Justino's Madeira Wines house. Subjected to the traditional estufagem process and aged in oak casks for at least three years, this rich and sweet Madeira blends fruit concentration with the island's signature vibrant volcanic acidity. A noble fortified wine of masterly balance and complexity.

Narrative Tasting Note

In the glass, Justino's Madeira Fine Rich glows with a beautiful mahogany-amber color highlighted by tile-red and old-gold reflections. The nose immediately reveals a deep, comforting, and warm bouquet: concentrated toasted nut perfumes—such as hazelnuts, walnuts, and almonds—emerge alongside dried figs, apricots, heather honey, toasted caramel, toffee, bitter orange marmalade, and subtle noble oak spices. On the palate, it delivers a silky, generous, and unctuous entry; rich wine sweetness coats the palate, yet is masterfully framed by crisp volcanic acidity that imparts exceptional lightness without ever feeling heavy. The tasting experience is warm, aromatic, and persistent, ending on a memorable finish filled with raisins, toffee, and nut echoes.

Groundbreaking & Mediterranean Gastronomic Pairings

Venison Consommé with black truffle or Foie Gras Pâté with orange jelly

An haute-cuisine savory match. The richness and toasted nut notes of Madeira embrace rich foie gras and deep game broths.

Blue Stilton, Spicy Gorgonzola, or Aged Goat Cheese

A sublime sweet-and-salty pairing. Sharp blue cheese intensity finds its counterpoint in the crisp acidity and honeyed profile of this Madeira.

70% Dark Chocolate Lava Cake with coffee, candied orange peel, and pistachios

An opulent dessert pairing. Pure dark cocoa bitterness and citrus orange peel blend naturally with the wine's toffee and caramel nuances.
