Dow's 20 Years Old Tawny Port is an absolute masterpiece from the legendary house of Dow's in DO Porto (Douro Valley). Masterfully blended from selected old-vine Port wines aged an average of 20 years in seasoned oak casks, this Tawny highlights Dow's signature drier, highly sophisticated style. A fortified wine of extraordinary concentration, complexity, and elegance.

Narrative Tasting Note

In the glass, Dow's 20 Years Old Tawny glows with a deep mahogany-amber color highlighted by golden hues and an old-gold rim. The nose unfolds an intensely captivating aromatic symphony: concentrated toasted nut aromas—such as hazelnuts, walnuts, and roasted almonds—emerge immediately, intertwined with honeyed dried figs, dried apricots, candied orange peel, and noble oak framed by toffee, tobacco leaf, and sweet spices. On the palate, it delivers pure refinement and volume; its entry is silky and velvety, where natural sweetness is masterfully counterbalanced by a crisp acidity and the cleaner, drier finish emblematic of Dow's style. The palate experience is warm, complex, and deep, concluding in an extraordinarily long finish filled with dried fruit, raisins, and seasoned oak notes.

Groundbreaking & Mediterranean Gastronomic Pairings

Venison Tartare or Duck Breast with dried fig reduction and pistachios

An haute-cuisine savory pairing. The depth and toasted nut notes of 20-year Tawny seamlessly embrace rich game meats.

Artisanal Blue Stilton or Aged Sheep Cheese steeped in walnut oil

The quintessential pairing elevated. The intense, salty profile of blue cheese melts into the wine's unctuous texture and nut notes.

80% Dark Chocolate Lava Cake with candied bitter orange peel and pine nuts

An opulent dessert match. Pure dark cocoa bitterness and citrus orange peel pair naturally with the wine's toffee and oak nuances.
