Blau is the expressive, captivating red wine from Can Blau winery in DO Montsant (part of Gil Family Estates). Grown across three distinct terroirs—slate, clay, and limestone—this blend skillfully combines the rustic power of Samsó (Carignan), the fleshy fruitiness of Red Grenache, and the floral spice of Syrah. Aged for 4 months in French oak barrels, it offers a modern, deeply satisfying Mediterranean red wine.

Narrative Tasting Note

In the glass, it reveals a dark cherry-red color with intense violet highlights. The nose opens with a clean, expressive bouquet filled with ripe blackberries, blueberries, and plum preserves, seamlessly blended with violet florals, ground black pepper, dark cocoa, graphite minerals, and Mediterranean wild thyme. On the palate, it is broad, silky, and fleshy; entering juicily before unfolding a mouth-coating body supported by ripe tannins and fresh natural acidity. The finish is long, persistent, and pleasantly spice-forward.
