Altos de Torona Rosal White Wine is one of the most elegant and refined expressions of the prestigious O Rosal subzone in DO Rías Baixas. Crafted by Bodegas Altos de Torona using a traditional blend of native grapes Albariño, Caíño Blanco, and Loureira, it originates from south-facing slopes overlooking the Miño river. Careful fine-lees aging balances Albariño's vibrant fruit, Caíño's structure and fresh acidity, and Loureira's enchanting floral aromatics.
Tasting Note
In the glass, it shines with a bright straw-yellow color framed by vibrant greenish and golden reflections. Swirling the glass reveals a complex aromatic bouquet where stone fruits like peach and apricot merge with orange zest, bay leaf, fresh herbs, and a distinctive saline mineral undertone. On the palate, it feels smooth, rich, and remarkably mouth-coating; fine-lees aging provides great structure and body, masterfully balanced by crisp Atlantic acidity that leads into a long, fragrant, and delicately saline finish.
