El Pispa is one of the standout creations in the Vinos del Paseante collection, designed to capture the vibrant and approachable essence of iconic wine regions. Crafted in DO Montsant from old vineyards of Red Grenache and Samsó (Carignan), it undergoes a careful 6-month aging in French and American oak barrels. The result is a juicy, delightful, and expressive red wine packed with ripe red berries and Mediterranean character.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, it shows a bright, clean cherry-red color of medium intensity with youthful violet rim highlights. The nose is open and seductive, bursting with crisp fresh fruit such as wild raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries, interwoven with hints of violet flowers and Mediterranean herbs like thyme and rosemary. As it breathes, gentle oak aging introduces sweet spice notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and a touch of milk chocolate. On the palate, it is mouth-filling, smooth, and immensely enjoyable. Vibrant acidity gives it lightness and agility, while silky tannins lead into a long, fruity finish with a touch of stony minerality.
