Petit Baldomà Red is the fresh, youthful, and approachable creation from Vall de Baldomar winery, located in the Artesa de Segre sub-zone within DO Costers del Segre. Grown in a Pre-Pyrenean environment with sharp day-night temperature swings, this wine combines the silky fruitiness of Merlot with the subtle structure and spice of Cabernet Sauvignon. An easy-drinking, versatile, and lively Mediterranean mountain red.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, Petit Baldomà Red shines with a bright cherry-red color, medium density, and vibrant violet reflections. The nose opens with an upfront, aromatic fruit explosion where red plums, black cherries, and blackberries from Merlot blend with cassis, roasted bell pepper, violet blossoms, and mountain herbs from Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate, it enters smooth, fresh, and mouthwatering; its light-to-medium body glides with fine, polished tannins and crisp mountain acidity. The finish is clean, cheerful, and persistent, leaving a delightful aftertaste of fresh red berries and herbal nuances.
