The white wine Els Pics is a captivating, terroir-driven creation from Bodegas Mas Alta, a flagship boutique winery located in La Vilella Alta (DOQ Priorat). Crafted mainly from old-vine Garnacha Blanca grown on steep slate (llicorella) terraces and limestone soils, this wine blends Mediterranean warmth with mountain freshness. Aged on fine lees, Els Pics White offers a deep, mineral, and highly gastronomic profile.
Tasting Note
Glowing bright golden-straw in the glass with youthful green hues, it opens with a intense and complex aromatic nose. Ripe stone fruit like apricor and yellow peach gracefully intertwine with elderflower, pink grapefruit, Mediterranean wild herbs, and a distinctive backdrop of warm slate minerals and toasted nuts. On the palate, it enters broad, fleshy, and mouth-coating; its creamy texture is impeccably lifted by vibrant acidity and salty minerality, culminating in a long, lingering, and citrus-infused finish.
