Pedro Masana Moscatel is an authentic and traditional expression of Mediterranean sweet winemaking from DO Terra Alta. Crafted exclusively from Muscat of Alexandria grapes, this sweet liqueur wine is made by stopping fresh grape juice fermentation with fine wine spirit. This time-honored process preserves all natural grape sugars and rich aromatic exuberance, delivering a bright, fragrant, and unctuous sweet wine.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, Pedro Masana Moscatel displays a bright golden-yellow hue with amber and old gold highlights. The nose opens immediately with an unmistakable aromatic burst featuring orange blossom, jasmine, and rose petals, intermingled with ripe white and tropical fruits like vine peach, melon, and passion fruit, framed by candied orange peel and blossom honey. On the palate, it enters smoothly and unctuously; its rich natural sweetness is balanced by a lively citrus acidity that ensures remarkable freshness without feeling cloying. The mouthfeel is warm, fragrant, and persistent, culminating in a long finish dominated by candied citrus, stone fruits, and toasted nut undertones.
