Cabrida is the flagship red wine of Celler de Capçanes and one of the most majestic expressions of old-vine Grenache in DO Montsant. Sourced from century-old vineyards planted on steep limestone and slate terraces, this wine undergoes around 12 months of aging in French oak barrels. Cabrida is pure concentration, finesse, and a true testament to world-class Mediterranean winemaking.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, Cabrida displays a deep, intense dark cherry color with elegant garnet rims. The nose is a captivating aromatic symphony that constantly evolves, delivering ripe black fruits and cherry jam interwoven with wild herbs like thyme, sweet spices, dark chocolate, and a distinct mineral backnote. On the palate, it offers immediate volume and silkiness; its entry is rich and meaty yet incredibly refined, supported by polished tannins and a vibrant acidity. The tasting experience is warm, deep, and enveloping, concluding in an extraordinarily long and unforgettable finish.
