Rippa Dorii Verdejo White Wine is Bodegas Ontañón's tribute to the rich heritage of DO Rueda. Sourced from 100% Verdejo old vines located in Torrecilla de la Abadesa along the Duero River, this white wine undergoes cold maceration and extended aging on its fine lees. This winemaking approach gives the wine a rich texture, balancing iconic varietal freshness with remarkable depth and food versatility.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, it displays a bright pale straw-yellow hue highlighted by crisp greenish reflections. The nose reveals an intense, clean bouquet of honeydew melon, vineyard peach, and green apple, layered with citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon zest over an elegant herbal backdrop of fennel, chamomile, and fresh-cut grass. On the palate, it enters with broad, creamy texture derived from fine lees contact; its mid-palate is structured and well-rounded, balanced by lively acidity that leads into a long, fragrant finish featuring Verdejo's signature, pleasant bitter touch.
