Petit Saó Blanc white wine is an organic masterpiece born from the unique philosophy of Celler Mas Blanch i Jové, a project where wine and art merge in the mountains of DO Costers del Segre. This wine sets itself apart with an entirely proprietary and fascinating blend combining White Grenache, Macabeu, Viognier, and Riesling, reaching a flawless harmony between Mediterranean tradition and Central European brightness. Meticulously vinified and aged on its fine lees for a few months, it delivers a surprising depth and texture without losing an atom of its natural freshness. Petit Saó Blanc is the ultimate choice for those seeking a white wine with character, elegance, and soul, capable of charming during a casual dinner as well as on high-end gastronomic celebrations.
In the glass, it shines with gorgeous clarity and a light golden-yellow color highlighted by brilliant youthful flashes. On the nose, it unfolds as a captivating and complex aromatic display, where classic notes of white and stone fruits, such as pear and ripe peach, subtly intertwine with exotic floral details of jasmine and delicate citrusy and mineral undertones that reveal the presence of Riesling. Upon entering the mouth, it instantly surprises with its elegance and a remarkably pleasant smooth, coating texture resulting from its aging on the lees. Its path across the palate is balanced, creamy, yet fluid, sustained by a lively and refreshing acidity that keeps the profile highly agile. The finish is long, clean, and highly expressive, leaving a mineral and fruity aftertaste that invites you to keep enjoying every sip.
The vibrant acidity brought by Riesling and the silky texture of Petit Saó Blanc pair exceptionally well with creamy goat cheeses. The wine seamlessly cleanses the palate from the cheese's rich profile while enhancing its complex dairy highlights.
A modern and delicious combination to try at home. The rich mid-palate of the wine balances the healthy fats of avocado and the tuna's firm texture, while the citrus and floral traces of the blend make the recipe's fresh lime juice truly shine.
A comforting weekend dish. The lees contact gives this Costers del Segre white enough structural body to withstand the risotto's creaminess, and the earthy, mineral touches effortlessly lock with the woodland flavors of the mushrooms.
