In the glass, Cartoixa de Scala Dei displays a bright, deep cherry-red color of high density with fine garnet and purple highlights. The nose immediately unfolds a complex, deep, and fascinating bouquet: intense ripe dark fruit and preserve aromas —such as wild blackberries, blueberries, dark cherries, and dried plums— emerge harmoniously intertwined with pure cocoa, dark chocolate notes, soft vanilla, exotic spices, and a distinctive cold licorella slate, graphite, and garrigue herb undertone.
