Marc de Cava Canals & Munné is a premium distilled liquid treasure rooted in the winemaking heritage of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia. This high-end grape pomace brandy (eau-de-vie) is crafted through artisanal distillation of select grape skins from classic Cava varieties: Xarel·lo, Macabeu, and Parellada. Following a careful aging period in oak casks, it achieves a heavenly maturity, displaying a full-bodied aromatic complexity and a velvety texture that makes it the absolute finest finale for any grand feast.

Tasting Note

In the glass, it shines with comforting elegance, showing a gorgeous, deep amber-golden color with bright old-gold highlights that proudly speak of its time in oak. The nose opens with an overwhelming expressive richness: initial hints of raisins, dried figs, and stewed orchard fruits quickly evolve into warm undertones of roasted nuts, sweet vanilla, noble wood, and a subtle spicy backdrop reminiscent of cloves and nutmeg. On the palate, it feels like a powerful, warm, and intensely silky caress. The entry is majestic and full-bodied, coating the mouth with a smooth, glyceric texture where the alcohol is beautifully integrated. The flavors carry the essence of the original grapes seamlessly fused with oaky toast. The finish is remarkably long, warm, and aristocratic, leaving a persistent, meditative aftertaste of balsamic notes and fine timber.

Groundbreaking Pairings

Single-Origin Dark Chocolate (70%+) and Traditional Catànies

A sublime after-dinner match. The rich alcoholic warmth and toasted oak notes of the Marc de Cava melt the dark chocolate flawlessly, echoing beautifully with the almond center of the catànies.

Intense Blue Cheeses (such as Roquefort or Aged Cabrales)

A striking contrast for bold palates. The spirit’s warmth and velvety texture effortlessly smooth out and balance the intense, salty, and pungent profile of long-cured blue cheeses.

Craft Mixology: A Twist on the Classic "Sidecar" Cocktail

Swap the conventional cognac for this Marc de Cava, combining it with triple sec and fresh lemon juice. The complexity of the distilled pomace delivers an unmatched vinous and citrusy layer.
