Terras Mancas Roble is a unique Atlantic red wine crafted by the acclaimed Bodegas Terras Mancas in the Val do Miño region. Produced outside regional DO restrictions to allow full creative freedom, this wine showcases local Galician red varieties through a master blend of Brancellao, Mencía, Caíño Longo, Grenache, Caíño Tinto, and Sousón. Aged carefully in oak barrels, it offers a vibrant, juicy, and mineral-driven wine with authentic maritime character.
In the glass, it displays a bright ruby-red color with vibrant violet highlights. The nose reveals an aromatic explosion of fresh Atlantic notes: wild red berries like raspberries, redcurrants, and arbutus berries intermingle with laurel, myrtle, and wet granite minerality. Its subtle oak aging adds sophisticated background notes of pink peppercorn, dark cocoa, and sweet vanilla without masking its lively fruit profile. On the palate, it is energetic and fluid, combining crisp natural acidity with silky, refined tannins. The finish is long, refreshing, and saline, leaving lingering memories of wild red fruit and forest floor.
Bold seafood pairing. The wine's vibrant acidity cuts cleanly through oily fish, accentuating the fresh herbal notes of the sauce.
Dynamic interplay. Rich pork belly is refreshed by the wine's acidity, while smoky chipotle notes pair effortlessly with delicate oak spices.
Gourmet harmony. The meatiness of red tuna and roasted sesame seeds match beautifully with the wine's silky tannins and berry core.
