Black is a radiant, modern organic red wine of pure Mediterranean fruit crafted by the acclaimed Mont Rubí winery, pioneer in recovering indigenous grape varieties in Alt Penedès under DO Penedès. Produced as a single-varietal from 100% Red Grenache grown organically on clay-limestone soils, this wine stands out for its respectful winemaking seeking the cleanest, freshest, and most direct expression of the grape. A young, seductive red wine designed to enjoy the most authentic character of Penedès Grenache.
Narrative Tasting Note
In the glass, Black by Mont Rubí displays a clean, bright ruby-red color of medium density with youthful violet highlights. The nose immediately unfolds a fresh, expressive, fruit-forward bouquet: ripe wild red fruit aromas —such as wild strawberries, raspberries, and fresh cherries— emerge harmoniously intertwined with violet floral notes, pink peppercorns, and a subtle touch of Mediterranean herbs like thyme and rosemary.
