DO PENEDÈS
White Wines from DO Penedès
The white wines of the DO Penedès appellation represent the vanguard of innovation and Mediterranean white winemaking in Catalonia. Spanning from coastal sandy vineyards to the high altitudes of Penedès Superior, this diverse region offers a stunning mosaic of soils. The region's undisputed champion is Xarel·lo, a local grape capable of producing highly structured, mineral-driven whites with spectacular aging potential. Combined with fresh blends and experimental vinification in clay amphorae or concrete eggs, Penedès whites are celebrated for their elegance, vibrant acidity, and outstanding gastronomic profile that captivates wine lovers worldwide.
