The white wine Acústic Blanc is one of the benchmark white creations from Acústic Celler (Albert Jané’s project) in DO Montsant. True to its ethos of expressing the unadorned "acoustic music" of the vineyards, this wine is crafted from old vines aged between 30 and 80 years old. Its traditional blend brings together the majesty of White Grenache, the freshness of Macabeo, the unique local character of Pansal (Xarel·lo), and the subtle elegance of Red Grenache (Garnatxa Roja). Aged partially on its lees with subtle oak touches, it delivers a deeply expressive, organic, and complex Mediterranean white wine experience.
In the glass, it reveals a clean, brilliantly radiant straw-yellow core with golden hues and lively greenish reflections that highlight its freshness. The nose opens to a rich, evolving aromatic performance: initial aromas of ripe white stone fruits like vineyard peach and juicy pear entwine with candied citrus peel, orange zest, and faint tropical nuances. As it breathes, its old-vine pedigree shines through chamomile flowers, fresh thyme herbal notes, and a sophisticated backdrop of toasted, smoky, and flinty mineral undertones unique to Montsant soils. On the palate, it exhibits great personality—rich, creamy, and deeply mouthwatering. It enters smoothly with a broad, textured mid-palate nurtured by lees stirring, held together seamlessly by crisp, integrated acidity that gives it drive and balance. The finish is lingering, complex, and mineral-driven, leaving an appealing savory and slightly almond-like bitterness that calls for another taste.
Creamy and elegant harmony. The rich texture and old-vine structure of Acústic Blanc slice through rich tuna fat, while vibrant citrus aromas lift tartar freshness.
Earthy and maritime synergy. Wine minerality, lees complexity, and gentle smoky notes embrace rich mushroom flavors and savory seafood stock seamlessly.
Bold and gastronomic contrast. The weight and character of White and Red Grenache hold sufficient body to match savory duck meat and citrusy sauce complexity.
