San Valentín white wine stands as one of Familia Torres’ most iconic and historical creations, originally crafted by Miguel Torres Carbó as a romantic gift for his wife on Valentine’s Day. Produced under the DO Catalunya designation, this young wine pays tribute to Parellada, the finest and most delicate traditional white grape variety from our high-altitude vineyards. Carefully fermented in stainless steel tanks to safeguard its ultimate aromatic subtlety, San Valentín Blanco features an exceptionally smooth, slightly off-dry, and seductive profile. It is a radiant, crisp, and easy-drinking choice, perfect for sharing on romantic occasions or adding a touch of Mediterranean softness to your culinary gatherings.
In the glass, it shines with absolute clarity and fineness, displaying a gorgeous pale yellow color, clear and clean, enlivened by faint greenish tones that highlight its pristine youth. Upon swirling, the nose is instantly filled with a lovely and remarkably seductive fragrance of notable intensity, showcasing ripe white fruit notes like orchard apple and fresh pear, beautifully wrapped in delicate whispers of rosemary honey and white flower petals. The palate receives a smooth, gentle, and pleasantly semi-sweet entry that caresses with a velvety texture. Its flow is fluid, light, and perfectly balanced, supported by a mild yet active acidity that refreshes the whole experience and expertly contrasts its fruity depth. The finish is neat, friendly, and highly aromatic, leaving behind memories of ripe fruit and a pleasant sensation of roundness.
A luxury contrast match. The subtly sweet essence and silky textures of the Parellada grape embrace the richness and oils of the foie gras exceptionally well, while the wine’s natural honeyed notes integrate perfectly with the sweetness of the fig.
Aromatic harmony and freshness. San Valentín's fragrant profile holds up beautifully alongside intense Eastern spices without being overshadowed, while the velvety texture of the wine blends seamlessly with the rich coconut milk, cooling down the curry's heat.
The beauty of opposites. The fine sweetness of the wine and its delicate floral aromas soften the salty, intense punch of the blue cheese, achieving a fantastic balance where neither dominates, inviting you to take another sip.
